When the fairy tale ends

Life isn't always the proverbial 'bed-of-roses' that we all strive for, a little thing called REALITY comes and bites us on the bum occasionally

Here's something to make the western men smile and the girls

My darling, my lover, my beautiful wife

Marrying you has screwed up my life

Roses are red and violets are blue,

sugar is sweet and so were you

But the roses have wilted, the violets are dead,

the sugar bowl’s empty and so is your head

Kind and intelligent, loving and hot

These are the things you’re definitely not

Love may be beautiful love may be bliss

I only fucked you because I was pissed

When I’m asleep, your face in my dreams

Is mostly the cause of my mid-nightly screams

I thought that I could love no other

That was until I slept with your brother

I wanted to feel your soft warm embrace

But please don’t take the bag off your face

I love your smile, your face and your eyes

I’m so bloody good at telling you lies

My feelings for you, no words can tell

Except for perhaps ‘Please Go To Hell’

So what has inspired this amorous rhyme

Three parts of vodka ..............and one part of lime

@queensknight I agree, it is nice to dream, but like a ship needs an anchor to keep it steady, so too does a relationship to keep it steady on the seas of matrimonial bliss, two people must share everything including the thoughts in their minds and hearts. I had such a marriage as this well written poem displays, now I am looking for that bed of roses, and she will be my pillow, and I will be her comforter.
