I dropped an egg

From: Australia Queensland Brisbane @Barry1 Time : 2018-10-30 16:23:06

At the time of writing, an hour or so ago, I clumsily dropped an egg on the kitchen floor.  Splat!  It exploded all over my shoe!

It's been many years since I've done such a silly thing.  In fact, I can't even remember ever doing it!

I'm now somewhat concerned that this may be the harbinger of imminent bad luck?

Or maybe it means good luck is happily on its way soon?

Or does it indicate a preliminary sign of impending dementia? Ideas anyone?

I wonder also if there any Chinese tales or superstitions about people who drop eggs on the floor, especially when they splatter all over your foot?

Am I in some sort of imminent trouble?

I looked up "I dropped an egg" on the internet. I got back the answer "ovulated". Barry, do you have a secret that you need to share with us?

"Sometimes it just means you dropped an egg"

Wow, I had never considered this simple theory!  Maybe I should not have immediately leapt to the conclusion I was about to enter an ominous dark cloud period of my life....  nor worried about possible impending dementia.

I simply dropped an egg.  No big deal, right?

But what if you're wrong, David?  What if it in reality DOES mean something dire is pending....?

Has anyone else ever dropped an egg around here?  If so, did unexplained misfortune suddenly then befall them?     :o

OMG, now my sexual proclivities are being dragged into the situation!

Hints that maybe I should come out of the closet!

My transgender past it seems, is catching up with me. Similar to Obama's partner - who he keeps referring to as "Michael", rather than "Michelle"!

All because I dropped an accursed egg  - I just KNEW it meant buckets of bad luck was soon to afflict me!    (sweat)(sweat)

Hey there Cozbro !!  I was just gliding by and noticed your thread. Seems slightly unusual considering you have previously stated that you have minimal "Kitchen Skills" but,...I need more specific information to make accurate assessment. Here are some questions,...

1. Which hand did said egg slip from?

2. Which foot did it splash?

3. What color was the egg shell (white, brown, blue, green) ?

4.What color was the yolk (pale yellow, dark orange or something else)?

5. Did the egg have a particular fragrance ? If it smelled foul, it might be some good guidance from the Universe that it broke and you did not eat it.

6. What time of day or night did this happen ?

7. What date did it happen ?

This is just basic info. requested. For a more detailed and accurate assessment I will also need to know your Birth date, time, and place (Lat.&Long.)  I will also require said info as to where and when it happened so an "Overlay" may be constructed. I will then use the 4 most current systems to give best response. After this is done I will also contact some fellow Wizzards and Brujas for final consultation. Brother Coz, I am very well versed from childhood in many esoteric respects.

Now,...this may seem like the services would be expensive but take heart !! You have offered me so many virtual beers I feel your credit is solid (hehe).

Seriously Bro, here's what I sense,...you may have been doing something previously (the day before?) which required you to use your hands as "Clamps" in strong continuous gripping and not noticed. There is a great difference in using the hands and fingers as a "Vice" and using your fingers on small motor level. Touch and release is very different from gripping. Can you remember any activity like that ? Are you concious of what you do with your hands and fingers when you do your walking or jogging ? If you notice some cramping in the fingers remember that some Magnesium capsules will help. Perhaps you might eat a banana for Potassium deficiency.

How do you approach the keyboard when you type ? Are you sitting with relatively straight back? Are your elbows slightly lower than your wrists? Are your wrists slightly bent down with a gentle curve in your fingers. These things are good to remember when you type as much as you do so one does not develop carpel-tunnel syndrome. Instrumental musicians who last a lifetime are very aware of this with their instruments. Old stuff for me (ha!).

For right now I'll side with Dave Pickles, sometimes you just drop an egg. This has never happened to me (hehe) even with 7 years of professional culinary experience but,...I have accidentally droped other items from time to time. When this has happened to me, I take it as a sign that I am not paying close enough attention to the task at hand. I take a short break to center again and give it a second try. That's the Scottish/Texan Cowboy Way I was taught and it has served me well. YEEHAW !!

Still, I have concern for your query about Dimentia and I don't sense you are developing that condition,...yet (Ha!). No Man, it's just another test from the universe and your body to remind you to pay better attention. As I recall, you are born as Libra/Horse this time. One of the "Horse" challenges is to tame said beautiful creature. Our minds are like a team of wild horses. If we don't understand them, care for them, Love them,...they can be most headstrong beasts. They will take you anywhere they want to go !! We must tame them so that they take us where WE want to go. I really like horses and am sort of a polished Equestrian. You just got to let'em know who's gonna' be Boss for the trail ride (hehe).

Gonji covered it well. You need to spend more time developing your fine motor skills and less time gripping.

@YinTingYu

Hey there Cozbro !!

Hi Gongji.

I was just gliding by and noticed your thread.

Good!

Seems slightly unusual considering you have previously stated that you have minimal "Kitchen Skills" but,...

I wasn't going to cook the egg, but have it raw with other ingredients, mashed up in a blender!

I need more specific information to make accurate assessment. Here are some questions,...

1. Which hand did said egg slip from?

Left

2. Which foot did it splash?

Left

3. What color was the egg shell (white, brown, blue, green) ?

White

4.What color was the yolk (pale yellow, dark orange or something else)?

Medium shade of yellow

5. Did the egg have a particular fragrance ? If it smelled foul, it might be some good guidance from the Universe that it broke and you did not eat it.

It was quite fresh!

6. What time of day or night did this happen ?

About 6.30pm

7. What date did it happen ?

Late October, can't be specific as to date

This is just basic info. requested. For a more detailed and accurate assessment I will also need to know your Birth date, time, and place (Lat.&Long.)

19 October 1954, born in Melbourne, Australia.  Unsure of time though!

I will also require said info as to where and when it happened so an "Overlay" may be constructed.

Great!

I will then use the 4 most current systems to give best response.

I'm impressed!

After this is done I will also contact some fellow Wizzards and Brujas for final consultation.

So much trouble emanating from just one single broken egg!

Brother Coz, I am very well versed from childhood in many esoteric respects.

I don't doubt this, such is your pre-eminence around here!

Now,...this may seem like the services would be expensive but take heart !! You have offered me so many virtual beers I feel your credit is solid (hehe).

My credit rating is indeed impeccable!

Actually, I've been shovelling and carting wheelbarrow loads of gravel around my place. Requiring heavy hand pressure.  So you're spot on the money!

If you notice some cramping in the fingers remember that some Magnesium capsules will help. Perhaps you might eat a banana for Potassium deficiency.

Sound advice - I eat a banana every day and my diet is fine!

I always STAND when at my computer.  I stopped sitting about ten years ago now!

For right now I'll side with Dave Pickles, sometimes you just drop an egg.

Really? How interesting!

This has never happened to me (hehe) even with 7 years of professional culinary experience but,...I have accidentally droped other items from time to time. More good advice, for sure!

Still, I have concern for your query about Dimentia and I don't sense you are developing that condition,...yet (Ha!).

Thank heaven!

No Man, it's just another test from the universe and your body to remind you to pay better attention.

Simple but true!

As I recall, you are born as Libra/Horse this time. One of the "Horse" challenges is to tame said beautiful creature.

You have a good memory, Gongji!

Our minds are like a team of wild horses. If we don't understand them, care for them, Love them,...they can be most headstrong beasts. They will take you anywhere they want to go !! We must tame them so that they take us where WE want to go.

I'm sure I'll find peace and equanimity soon!

I really like horses and am sort of a polished Equestrian. You just got to let'em know who's gonna' be Boss for the trail ride (hehe).

More of your many talents on display!

Wow - what a great song this was!  I've downloaded it from YouTube and added it to my personal music database.  Great stuff!

Thanks heaps for the witty, entertaining response, Gongji.  Please definitely have a couple more beers on me!  (beer)(beer)

Barry, Chinese women refer to a man's semen/ejaculation as eggs.......hmmmmm

I think any relationship with a Chinese women is as frail as dropping an egg.

Cheers ole boyo!

Yes, I've had two relationships so far with Chinese ladies and failed at them both!   :o

As for semen being called eggs, very interesting! I think that deserves a beer on me!  (beer)

@paulfox1

"Eggs are the only things that need to be broken before you can use them"

What about pistachios, Paul?  Don't they have to be cracked open before being used?

Doesn't also a block of ice need to be broken, before the cubes can be used in drinks?

Horses also need to be "broken in" before they can be ridden.

Water balloons need to be broken also, before giving the explosive water effect?

Awkward silences need to be broken also, before things improve.

Pinatas also need to be broken, yes - the same as glowsticks?  :^)
