The first time for me to have a post here.

Feelings with my partner has been two years and a half, we'll have a meet in USA next month and go for it. I am facing a great life change which me have lasted 44 years here, it brings me an ambivalence of feelings as human are creatures of habit. From now on, destiny has to be binded with another man... me never had this type of experiences before... : )

We love each other very much, keeping living in two countires is a great torture. Only feel lost a little bit at present.

If this is a normal reaction for each couple before their marriage?

IsabellaFly, this is terrific post and I hope you will get many good responses. I will give you my thoughts in a few days as well.

But for now I strongly suggest that you also write your thread in Chinese because we have many good Chinese members who have done what you are about to do, and who would be better than them to gove you both encouragement and advice to make it all easier?

Post your Chinese translation in a comment and I will add it to your thread when I receive it here.

Best regards, John Abbot

@JohnAbbot Thanks for taking time to reply, John. And your opion is available, later me will add chinese translation into threads...

My gut / 6th sense whatever was screaming at me something not quite right... so me stopped relationship with this BF and separated from him, I have no enough audacity to go further with him any more.

So trust your intuition all the time, it will tell you something which you haven't realized clearly at days.

Im sorry to hear you broke up with your BF. But there must be reasons. There are a lot of intelligent people here ,maybe you can share it here, so others can give you some advice?

Good luck!

IsabellaFly, you post here that you are going to the USA very soon to be with the man you say you love very much, obviously you had a little trepidation. Now you say your 6th sense was screaming at you that "something was not quite right" so you ended your relationship with him. Is this correct?  If you had a gut instinct about him, was it not there for the whole 2 1/2 years or did this gut instinct just show itself recently?.

Does he know this is why you ended it with him? Are you sure it is not just miscommunication between both of you or cultural differences that are causing misunderstading of a situation, idea or events?

It is a very big step to take. Maybe even a jump not a step. You MUST be certain in your heart that it is the right thing to do. It is also possible you have just become to freigtened to take that leap and that is very understandable also
