I met an Aussie guy and his Chinese wife of 16 years at the TSP Church. He's in his 60s and his wife is in her 30s. Her parents allowed them to marry, but he can't go to her hometown to visit her folks. He's been to both her brother's homes and they accept him. When I first dated my wife and the book my friend suggested we read has a section on dealing with the family,I asked her how would her parents feel about her marrying a foreigner. She replied that it didn't matter as long as she was happy. I am fortunate and get along well with my mother-in-law. I have a Chinese PE teacher friend who got divorced, because he couldn't get along with his mother-in-law as they were all living together.

I like the meat mooncakes, but I could only get them in Shanghai. Most of the others I can't eat due to allergies.

@autumn2066, Fall/Autumn can be a beautiful season full of multicolored leaves falling from the trees layering the ground with a carpet of color, beautiful clear skies at night if not raining and the air has a crispness to it that makes you shiver as you breathe it in but is not too cold to make you freeze. It is full of magical dancing colors at night, different sounds on the air than any other season. I have always found Autumn to be more mysterious at night than other seasons. I believe that Autumn is the season of lovers and romance.

It is also the traditional season of hearty meals, spicy pumpkin pies, sweet apple pies and tarts.

Autumn can also be a very sombre season full of wind, rain, colder temperatures and less daylight time.

So all in all, Autumn can be a beautiful season with a wee bit of a termper. Sound familiar?
