woaizhongguo @woaizhongguo

As a classicist, I am delighted to find a reference to Greek thought in this forum  I am delighted too ... After writing my comment I  thought I should make it more clear -- Having been trained in Classics is surely a veritable treasure and skill set to have been accomplished (clap)(clap)(clap)(clap)(clap)

My thought was not that Classical Greek .. nor Platonic or Neo-platonic has little value in  today's society --- but rather that I do not assume that I must remain within such a framework in order to explicate the "text" before me in a rigid manner  ---  that would preclude me from sharing a multivalent signficance for those who are outside the normal reading or study of the N.T. Greek "text"

Kudos to your Classical training ....

You should write skits for Monty Python,

And you think I'm 'mad' ?(rofl)

You're argument hit rock-bottom several days ago.
Now you're using a pick and shovel.

@WarmLifeGz7 - your approach seems to be that 1700 words of mockery and deprecation of someone and their theory, combined with a healthy dose of self description, somehow proves their theory to be wrong.

@Melcyan works on the alternate approach that 10 words or so of mockery, so long as they contain the magic two words "conspiracy theory", somehow proves the theory to be wrong.

Sadly you both are wrong. Just by way of example, neither your endless use of Geo Engineering/Chemtrails as a form of mockery in anyway disproves the existence of Geo Engineering/Chemtrails. Nor would Melcyan calling them a Conspiracy Theory disprove them in anyway.

And yes, I would prefer to actually look at facts and evidential proof being offered to convince me that one of Paul's theories is wrong, because in the end that is the only way a theory can be proved wrong (or right for that matter).

Your comment is entertaining, but other than that it serves no purpose as far as convincing anyone that Paul is wrong on the topics he pursues.

Could you do me a favour, and tell me in about 100 words or less what proof you have that Chemtrails don't exist?

I refuse to take on the role of dismantling conspiracy theory arguments like Chemtrails.  That is done elsewhere on the internet far better than I could ever do.

Since CC (Conspiracy Corner) started I can only find one blog on CLM outside of CC, namely, "If You Want a Successful Relationship with an Asian Woman, Don’t Do This", that has been uncontaminated by CC type talk. (I am starting to regret having ever suggested the formation of CC for CLM) That is definitely a very poor track record. Hopefully, CLM can eventually reach a point where ALL blogs outside of CC are uncontaminated by CC talk.

Maybe we can reach the point where the following words by John Abbot, relating to the creation of CC, ring true -

“NOTE #1: If a blog article is a Normal Blog Article and not a Conspiracy Corner Article then no Conspiracy Theory comments will be approved. Got it? No Conspiracy Theory Comments on Normal Blogs!

NOTE #2: When a Blogger posts an article, they can choose whether it is a Normal Blog or a Conspiracy Corner Blog. However, when the Moderator is approving the blog article for publication, he may overrule the Blogger and publish it as the opposite of what the Blogger chose.”

" let me say this as to what goes into the regular blogs and what goes into the conspiracy blogs.

Regular Blogs = everything that is on topic for an international online dating website, including topics regarding countries, culture or travel that relate to any of the countries from which we have members (which is all countries), anything relating to relationships, dating, love, romance, understanding women, understanding men, and anything specifically related to Chinese or Asian women, culture or travel.

Conspiracy Corner Blogs = everything else."

I am a chronic procrastinator who spends too much time reading CLM directly and wastes even more time with follow up reading. I will solve that problem for my next eight very busy weeks by blocking my access to CLM. Towards the end of January, I will return to CLM firstly with a blog on CC  possibly titled “Profiling Common Characteristics of Conspiracy Theorists”. However, the title may well have changed by the time 8 weeks have passed.

Who knows? By February of 2019, the blogs outside of CC may be completely free of CC type talk contamination. (I think I can hear disbelieving laughter in the background and comments like “Yes, and pigs will fly!”) Regardless of where CLM is at that time, I will also create at least one more blog outside of CC. It will be one that I previously gave up writing, Boy to Man” part 2, because it was too hard.

Boy to Man, part one, was posted on CLM on    8/27/2016 1,0:48:45 PM    Boy!, man oh man!, how times have changed since then. This was written well before the time that conspiracy contamination reached epidemic proportions on CLM. Interesting!!! – Conspiracy Contamination also has the same initials as Conspiracy Corner,  CC.

I will present the Boy to Man Part 2 blog as if it really does have a fully working CC type talk filter. For any incoming CC type comments appearing on the Boy to Man Part 2 blog, I will cut and paste them directly into my CC blog. For example,

@paulfox1 Your last comment has been redirected to my CC blog. ( I will probably need to get that comment recorded as a single keystroke on my keyboard to save myself a lot of typing.)

Hopefully, the penny will drop very quickly for either John or Paul or perhaps even both.

Now, for anyone with questions, I will do my best to respond appropriately in two months time. Finally, to all at CLM, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

tell me in about 100 words or less what proof you have that Chemtrails don't exist? And while you are at it, in 50 words or less also tell us what proof you have that the Easter Bunny and Santa Claus do not exist.

Hey, Jim.....

How come my China Mobile phone works perfectly in Shenzhen, but not in Hong Kong?

#2018-12-03 21:08:45 by paulfox1 @paulfox1

Sorry, Jim, but I concur with john. If you want to challenge me to a serious debate, then off you go. However, please stop incessantly bombarding me with thousands of words of inane nonsense.

#2018-12-03 21:14:26 by paulfox1 @paulfox1

Chemtrails are REAL - as is geoengineering. I don't care how much of your precious 'scientism' you throw at me/us, you are just parroting the official narrative.

You need to wake-up, my friend. You've been lied to !

My previous comment to Jim proves it. If we have 'satellites' with which to connect our mobile phones to, how come my China Mobile will connect in China, yet not connect 100m away when I cross the border into HK?

#2018-12-04 13:57:21 by JohnAbbot @JohnAbbot

@anonymous18764 - I'd have to say that suggesting that belief in chemtrails is the same as belief in the Easter Bunny or Santa Claus is about as weak as suggesting that playing a Mozart Symphony on the piano is the same as farting. There are plenty of reasons to believe that chemtrails are real, not least of which are the multiple whistleblowers who have come forward and admitted to participating in spraying chemtrails into the atmosphere. Some governments are on record of accusing the US Government of spraying chemtrails in order to damage their agricultural production. And generally, the narrative coming out of the Governments is starting to shift from a denial of chemtrails to a defence that they are necessary to, among other things, combat global warming.

@melcyan - CC is a work in progress. I'm sorry to hear that you'll be missing in action for 2 months. Here's wishing you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Hopefully you'll have a productive 2 months, and on your return you'll discover that the blogs are operating as intended. That's the goal in any event.

@PaulFox1 - regarding your comment to @WarmLifeGz7, I have to suggest to you that the reason Jim is "incessantly bombarding you with thousands of words of inane nonsense" is because he is so pissed off at you for doing the same thing to him (and the rest of the readers here). You make the occasional good point, but in between those good points you throw an endlessly redundant barage of poorly thought out "proofs" which prove nothing. Instead of sticking to high quality points that give one pause to think maybe there could be something to your conspiracy theory, you just keep throwing as much shit as you can dream up at the wall in hopes that some of it will stick.

Jim may be failing to provide solid counter proofs to your many claims, but I suggest that one thing that comes through loud and clear from his comments and recent blogs is that he is tired of you "incessantly bombarding him with thousands of words of inane nonsense".

I suggest to you that if you want people to debate you seriously, then you should consider getting serious yourself and start providing real, cogent and well thought out arguments for why certain of your conspiracy theories are true.

By way of example of what not to do, I find your argument regarding China Mobile not connecting in Hong Kong as proof that satellites don't exist to be nonsensical. China Mobile, and every other mobile signal provider in the world as far as I know, restrict their signals to those locations in which they are licensed to do so. Rather than prove there are no satellites, this simply proves that the hardware producing the signals and transferring them to the satelites, the hardware in the satelites themselves, the hardware receiving the satelite signals and passing them on to the end users and even the hardware in the phones of those end users are all programmed not to give you access to China Mobiles signals in Hong Kong (or Thailand, Vietnam, Australia, Canada, etc).

I don't know where you came up with that argument, but I suggest that it is arguments like that which make it hard for you to get many believers. And I suggest that's the reason why Jim is so annoyed with you.

I also don't understand why the existence or non-existence of satellites proves anything regarding Flat Earth vs Spherical Earth. Why couldn't Flat Earth have satelites? Granted the science of keeping them up there would be different, but that hardly means the science couldn't exist.
