One more. You are not looking for a perfect lover. You are looking for yourself. In fact, when you meet that special person you realize that you are so much of yourself than you thought possible. I remember those moments.
Sky was blue and full of bright energy.
I felt more myself and could sense that she was there, separate yet I was more. Sometimes more energy flows through you. intelligence is not what people think. It is more of the acceptance to and will to participate in evolving life. All can be worked on.
The main thing is to enjoy life. That means to allow that fountain of love and energy to flow out of you.
You can do it any time. The best is to not to put any conditions.
You cannot fail, as living your life even very so called miserable life is a huge success. After all, it is all transient. Then you move on to something else. If you like good things you will have good things. If you want to punish yourself then you will have to suffer. Suffering is not bad. It cleanses the spirit. Then you can start afresh.
When you realize that pain might be gone.
Pain is mostly information, that you need to pay attention to something.
It is good. Acknowledge that and then move on.
All is taken care of. You are not alone.
remember, from certain level, there are no rich or poor, no clever or stupid.
It is all relative to the situation.
There are many types of intelligence.
There is specialist intelligence, there is procedural intelligence, there is also more general type. It often relates to awareness and ability to face facts. To maintain your idea of life. So, when you are confronted with facts you look at them and then you know how to behave. When to accept, when to change, what and how. It is all good fun.
Even when you lose you can enjoy it.
Just do not worry about things. All is working for you.
If you win, what will you do with that victory?
It is the end. Or maybe then victory is just something that can be celebrated with friends and then you live as if nothing ever happened.
Victory is not important. Life is important.
After all, all will happen what you want.

@ykcor
yes they are all linked, with different results, for example
look at this diagram from Michael Guillen Ph.D.
http://ehbed.witnesstoday.org/FrontPage/images/sq_fig.gif

so does IQ can be increased?
http://dsc.discovery.com/tv-shows/curiosity/topics/myths-about-intelligence.htm
http://www.livescience.com/36143-iq-change-time.html

Does SQ can be increased?
again, people are born with certain Level of SQ, it can jump a lot with certain experiences. Regular spiritual practices and study can also increase it, but not much, according to some research.

That's why it is pretty much useless to change other people by telling them to change when they are still in the same SQ. It hasn't work for the entire history of humanity.

SQ can also be defined as the 'level of consciousness', and all arguments are because of different level of consciousness.

So then how?
As Ykcor said, Spiritual connection is the BEST, lol. Guaranteed connection, haha, whether you are going to like it or not, or whatever outcome it will become.

All the other connections, base instincts or whatever else, is nice too.

From the internet, this poem said it nicely

"Reason, Season, or Lifetime

People come into your life for a reason, a season or a lifetime.
When you figure out which one it is,
you will know what to do for each person.

When someone is in your life for a REASON,
it is usually to meet a need you have expressed.
They have come to assist you through a difficulty;
to provide you with guidance and support;
to aid you physically, emotionally or spiritually.
They may seem like a godsend, and they are.
They are there for the reason you need them to be.

Then, without any wrongdoing on your part or at an inconvenient time,
this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end.
Sometimes they die. Sometimes they walk away.
Sometimes they act up and force you to take a stand.
What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled; their work is done.
The prayer you sent up has been answered and now it is time to move on.

Some people come into your life for a SEASON,
because your turn has come to share, grow or learn.
They bring you an experience of peace or make you laugh.
They may teach you something you have never done.
They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy.
Believe it. It is real. But only for a season.

LIFETIME relationships teach you lifetime lessons;
things you must build upon in order to have a solid emotional foundation.
Your job is to accept the lesson, love the person,
and put what you have learned to use in all other relationships and areas of your life.
It is said that love is blind but friendship is clairvoyant.

One thing that's slightly askew of the subject in question here yet possibly could be mentioned is arrogance.

Sometimes very intelligent and/or well educated people - both male as well as female - exhibit narcissistic behaviour that is rather disappointing.

They may attempt to bully, belittle or bewilder you with their smug intelligence.

One of my pet hates is arrogance. Very gifted people - either physically or intellectually - need to be mindful of this. We all have a right to be here, after all.

@Barry1
"We all have a right to be here, after all"
Yes, God say, "All men are created equal." But I can't always dream fall in love with Andy Lau(刘德华)?

Ahh, dreams.

Please remember always to dream as if you'll live forever... but live as if you'll die today. Challenge yourself to dream big... knowing that dreams are the veritable touchstones of our characters. For as you dream, so will you manifest what you have dared had the vision - the courage - to imagine.
