Er Nai, Threesomes – Thanks But No Thanks

CLM/ALM chooses to stick to heterosexual one to one relationships between people seeking a life partner or spouse. To all others we wish you the best of luck elsewhere.

We have briefly contemplated some of the comments and suggestions made in the two earlier blogs on this subject. To be perfectly frank, the contemplation lasted for about 5 minutes, because here in the background the reaction was unanimous and took little thought at all. Here at CLM/ALM we are not interested in expanding our horizons beyond what we are and always have been, dating sites committed to offering genuine and sincere Chinese and Asian women and genuine and sincere Western men who are seeking life partnerships with each other a safe, secure and enjoyable platform on which to meet, online date and hopefully find real love.

We agree with the many people who commented that allowing people to advertise for concubine style relationships or for third parties for threesomes would be the first step on a slippery, sliding slope into being just another dating site trying to be all things to all people and ending up being of value to none.

And with all due respect to those who suggested that everyone has a right to seek the type of long term relationship they wish, we concur that they do, but we do not agree that they have a right to demand they be allowed to do so here. There are many websites offering such services and we do not judge those sites at all. To each his own. But we don’t care to join them.

The reality is that 99% of our members are not interested in those types of relationships and those who are would be wasting their money to upgrade on our sites. For their own sake they should look into the sites where all the members are looking for such relationships.

For those who suggested that maybe we should open an alternate site for these types of interests, we would prefer to continue to spend our energy on the current CLM/ALM format. If we were to consider expanding in any direction regarding online dating it would more likely be to expand to greater Asia or even into Latin America on the basis that the security we strive to provide would probably be more than welcome by long term daters interested in or from those geographical areas as well.

We thank everyone for your comments which were most enlightening, and as usual, generally well thought out and well expressed.

Good choice John, keep on keeping it clean

Well said John. And thank you for keeping CLM as the great service that it is for those seeking to find the most important person there could ever be in their life.

I hope you will keep this focus and not include blogs that digress into other areas such as religion, politics and the like. (why is it that those for whom something doesn't work, or perhaps have only stood on the outside looking in and never truly experienced something, or for whom a particular experience is not congruent with their personal chosen lifestyle, are the most zealous in trying to disenfranchise other seekers by drowning them in a sea of negativity? ie. I don't think it would work for me so there is no way it could work for you)

Keep up the great work! And thanks to all your staff as well.

Thanks chrisfr2 and compani for the positive reinforcement.

@compani, just briefly regarding the blogs digressing into religion, politics etc we actually like to see some movement into these areas because we feel that both religion and politics are areas in which there is a sea of difference between the Chinese/Asian cultures and those of the west, and we think it is a positive experience for members to get a view into how members of the opposite cultures think.

However, we agree with you that these writings should avoid negativity and non-constructive criticism.
