Depreciation VS Devaluation 折旧VS贬值

When You Are Old

As human beings, birth, senility, illness and death are all natural law which is same as the four season cycle. So women would also be old, right? This is only a natural depreciation. Devaluation or being devaluated? I think these expressions are not correct. It is one of nature's creatures, no human factors. Nature is fair, It is the same for both men and women, men would be old too. But for a human being, especially a woman, if you are not willing to study, you would be straight-line depreciation, even accelerated depreciation. It is self-evident.

Western old bachelors are more willing to choose a mate who is  an older woman, I think they have respect for nature. He is getting older, and then to marry a beautiful young girl, and have a baby, the price is too high. And a lot of Chinese people like the expensive things. They think all expensive things are good. Otherwise luxury markets all over the world are surrounded by Chinese people? A beautiful young girl, of course, is better than the old woman. China has large population, there are so many beautiful young girls, of course, many old bachelors prefer to choose the girls much younger than them instead of old women to be their mates. This isn't much of the fault. Damned is the old man used his so-called "the charm of mature man", forcibly occupy young girls’ uterus, to continue their old genes, then abandon them, make the girls devaluated.

Please read a thread on forum here, 《我是剩女》I’m A Leftover Lady. The girl is 29 years old, who has not married yet. Is this a fault? Well to date, the men tried to have their hands on her. In the 20 years old girl, the boy doesn't make this request to her! Like an item that hasn’t been sold in a store, customers come to open on trial, said try before you buy. The problem is that once opened he may not buy, how are you going to do to him? Of course can only own the risk, or keep things as there are, there are also other buyers who didn't reveal their purchase intention. Older single girls, even if you make yourself a treasure, some men will make you suffer this kind of bird gas. So I advised her to write the article, describe her own choosing a spouse situation. 29 years old, is still in the phase of gold mate! That man wants her discount, what world?

And some of the women have to spoil themselves as "the queen, the imperial concubine" or something else...ah, ah, has a price above the market, what do you want to? What kind of people are you? Don't put yourself seriously, how to live your days that you should do.

By the way, I am a maidservant for my son now. My sister said to me, "you always can only do ONE thing." This is where she is more capable than me. Her husband’s old classmates extremely admire her, said: "there are too many things which CC is good at." Now I go to work, and cooking, and also wrote a blog post. I want to fall in love, but it is really busy NOW. My sister also had the words behind, "can you take care of a child as you get your degree?" I was silence, but said in the mind: "can you?" Because there is no junior high school nearby my working place, only a high school. If my son went to junior high school in Wuhan he needed to go by bus, too far away from home. So he just followed my parents who moved to Zhuhai when he was 12 years old. I didn't give him a good father, but give him the best grandma and grandpa in the world. He eats my meals and goes to school to learn French with warmed down coat now, I feel at ease so much.

In the end, I share the most beautiful love poem to you all:

When you are old

When you are old and grey and full of sleep,

And nodding by the fire, take down this book,

And slowly read, and dream of the soft look

Your eyes had once, and of their shadows deep;

How many loved your moments of glad grace,

And loved your beauty with love false or true,

But one man loved the pilgrim Soul in you,

And loved the sorrows of your changing face;

And bending down beside the glowing bars,

Murmur, a little sadly, how Love fled

And paced upon the mountains overhead

And hid his face amid a crowd of stars.

Thank you for these interesting thoughts, Panda. You really are a very thoughtful person with a lot to share.

Thank you also for the soulful poem by William Butler Yeats, a well respected Irish poet.

In return, may I share one of my favorite poems that is somewhat related to the one you quoted, though rather than about old age, it concerns death.

It was penned by John Donne (1572 - 1631) during his time as an English clergyman. No doubt during his tenure, he saw many friends and acquaintances die some terrible deaths, as life spans of people back then were not particularly long and disease control almost non-existent.

Death, be not proud, though some have called thee
Mighty and dreadful, for thou art not so;
For those whom thou think'st thou dost overthrow
Die not, poor Death, nor yet canst thou kill me.
From rest and sleep, which but thy pictures be,
Much pleasure; then from thee much more must flow,
And soonest our best men with thee do go,
Rest of their bones, and soul's delivery.
Thou art slave to fate, chance, kings, and desperate men,
And dost with poison, war, and sickness dwell,
And poppy or charms can make us sleep as well
And better than thy stroke; why swell'st thou then?
One short sleep past, we wake eternally
And death shall be no more; Death, THOU SHALT DIE

Ok , 你贬值了,你在中国没人要了,你是没人要的老女人,我们大家都知道了,我们同情你。

DEATH BE NOT PROUD, this poem is too powerful, and deep philosophy in it. I think the poem WHEN YOU ARE OLD that is more concerned Love but old age.

"nobody wants old women, we all know, we sympathize with you."

In my view, Panda is not old. She's a high class lady in the prime of life. A smart and attractive person, in fact.

All the Western men agree with me here, I'm sure. (y)

I quotes a sentence from Poul Fox here,"...they all have there reasons for being here (just as we western men have our reasons) - but we have to learn to recognize the scammers, the rogues and the 'dick-heads' in just the same way they they do - It really is a minefield! "

I think that is really easy to distinguish the types of women from blogs, threads, comments here. And this is the difference of CLM from other date sites.
