Born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Daniel has lived in Toronto, Canada for 28 years. He’s a loving father, practicing dentist, divorcee and a well traveled “citizen of the world”. Having had extensive experience with online dating, travel and life in the Philippines, Daniel will tell it like it is and will no doubt open some eyes. What a gift this lovely mixed Chinese and Caucasian baby Daniel is to his parents, his brother and all his family. And like all children, he is also a gift to the world.

"There can be no keener revelation of a society's soul than the way in which it treats its children.”

— Nelson Mandela

“If you want your children to be intelligent, read them fairy tales. If you want them to be more intelligent, read them more fairy tales.”

― Albert Einstein

“Children must be taught how to think, not what to think.”

― Margaret Mead

“Make it a rule never to give a child a book you would not read yourself.”

― George Bernard Shaw

I would like to share with the CLM community, all our friends and family some pictures of our little boy Daniel, who is weighting now almost 9 kilos and is 64 cm long.  By the look of it, he will be a tall guy as his big brother Matheus.  He is a sweet baby, often times he smiles, laughs and has amazing facial expressions as if he is trying to figure out where he landed.  His huge black eyes screen everything and sometimes he looks surprised with what he sees, his toys, his mobile and so on.  He is very focused and tries to follow the action around him, even people talking.  He loves music as I do and he stays very calm listening to Mozart.

Incidentally, Daniel has also a Chinese name, Xu Yue Xuan, which means “happy”. Nothing could be more appropriate since the little guy is always happy and is very funny. The name of his brother Matheus means “the gift from God”. I just ask the Lord to make my boys decent, honest, happy and healthy human beings.

I am deeply in love with my sweet Chinese wife Angela, without her it would be impossible Daniel's existence and my two boys. Matheus and Daniel, (who are true blessings), they are all I have and I thank the Lord for their lives and for the privilege to be around them.

Angela’s immigration is on its final steps and we hope that very soon we will all be together and get on with our lives.  I will let you know when she is ready to come to Canada.  Meanwhile, we registered Daniel, got his “baby passport” and made the application for Canadian citizenship on his behalf.

Folks, if you really want to get that special person in this great Chinese dating site, keep focused, do not give up.  As I said before, if it was possible for us, is possible for you too.  Success is made of 10% inspiration and 90% perspiration as they say.  When things come easy, we do not value them as much.  Get on the ball, travel to China (it is a wonderful country) and see your princess face to face, there is no substitute for a personal contact, a dinner for two.  Get real Chinese food, go to a place specialized in “hot pot”. In Beijing for example, they bring so much food you will wish you had two stomachs.

I wish you all the very best and may the Lord bless each and every day of your lives.

May the peace of the Lord be upon you and your loved ones.

It isn't easy imagining a baby any cuter than little Daniel. What a blessing he truly must be to his entire family. If CLM didn't exist for any other reason and stopped today, it would have all been worth it just for this. We're very happy for you Daniel Sr. And happy Mother's Day to the proud Mom, Angela. What a job well done.

Thank you so much for this wonderful update, Daniel. Let me say also that the little baby looks exactly like you! :)

I enjoyed reading the quotes on children you shared with us. Another one that I like is from Marain Edelman:

"If you as parents cut corners, your children will too. If you lie, they will too. If you spend all your money on yourselves and no portion of it for charities, colleges, churches, synagogues, and civic causes, your children won't either. And if parents snicker at racial and gender jokes, another generation will pass on the poison adults still have not had the courage to snuff out."

Best wishes to both you and Angela, Daniel. I'm sure that EVERY person who reads this article will feel similarly, even if they do not put it into writing.

By the way, as I mentioned once before, experts say that due to continuing advances in medical science, children being born right now have every reason to believe they'll live to well OVER one hundred years of age (barring accidents, of course). So little Daniel quite probably will still be alive in 2120, quite amazing if you think about it.

@John Abbot Quite frankly John, I owe all this happiness to you and your team. There is no way to compare CLM with other sites out there, I dare to say theat ther is just a very few really serious, if not only yours. It was not easy, to conquer Angela's heart took everything I got but it was worth all my efforts and I would do it again, Little Daniel came as a bonus, to bless our love and we are very happy and grateful to the Lord for his life, Yes, he is a sweet and cute baby, because he was lucky and got got the looks of his mom and I hope he will have her heart, intelligence and personality too. Thanks John, God bless you and your family.

@ John Abbot John, you will not believe this. Ready? As I am sitting to answer the kind messages I got from you, Barry and Jennifer, the phone rang, it was 4 AM here, which is 4 PM in Beijing and Angela just gave me the great news that she was advised by the Canadian Embassy to send her the visa fee and her passport, they will excuse her of having a formal interview, and they will return her passport with her visa for permanent resident in Canada. My heart was pumping fast as a Ferrari, I am so happy that I do not know the adjectives to use. I credit this to our honesty and to the help of the Lord. So, our community in CLM can expect soon pics from the three of us and Big Brother Matheus in the CN Tower, Toronto Island and in the Fall the splendid multi-coloured trees of our Toronto. This.m my opinion, is the season when Ontario looks its best. I am just elated John. Please put a note on the site, just few people read my blog, but I want to share this with everyone, which is also a way to give them hope. I pray that everybody will find a nice and special person as I did. God bless you John.

@ Barry1 Hi Barry, as usual, you are a real gentleman. Thank you for your kind words to us, which I know are sincere. I feel you are an open book, transparent, a pure soul and quite frankly I pray that you will also find a very special lady to be your wife and companion throughout life. Life is a journey which is best enjoyed when we share it with a person we can call our own.

I will be writing an article called "through the eyes of a child", I hope you will like. Three movies I suggest for you to watch (if you did not watch them already) "Big" (with Tom Hanks), "All is lost" (simply fantastic, with Robert Redford) and the "Life of Pi" (directed by Ang Lee, the famous Taiwanese director. I know you will enjoy them, Make some fresh butted popcorn or order a pizza, sit back and enjoy.

All the best, Barry, God bless you and your loved ones my friend. May the peace of the Lord be upon you always.
