A life lived without humour is a life less lived, in my view. Some say that a day spent without at least one piece of humour within it has been a day wasted.

Though as George Bernard Shaw once said, "My way of joking is to tell the truth. It's the funniest joke in the world!" I wouldn't necessarily go that far!

This reminds me of a joke I heard recently. It concerns a man who loved to play board games on his computer. After being beaten yet again by the infernal machine, he finally lost patience and lashed out at it, remarking later,

"My computer beat me at checkers. But I sure beat it at kick boxing!"

Well, I'm not a sad bastard, and will be dead long before I can become one, thankfully.

"Only my first wife was two year younger than me, after, all my living girlfriends have being 8, 10, 16, and 23, and 30, years younger, it’s like the older I get the younger they are. "
I am just curious is that mean you become more and more rich? As we know that the more money the man has, the more younger girls he will get. (giggle) Anyway, you are honest and funny.
And I am pleasured by your word "I am not overweight myself of course I do not want to have an overweight wife, this is the main reason I am looking for Chinese wife,..." When I complained to my bf that I found myself a tendency to gain weight, he warned me not to say that in his country, or so many women there would kill me. so I feel relieved to eat as much as I can. haha...
Best wishes to you and your Chinese fiancee

Not sooner ago, I heard an American and Chinese man's same sex couple had successfully got the "fiancee" visa to move to America. From your comment to Paulfox1 and Barry1, I am curious if you have an idea that you want to try to make the same sex couple here? (whew) I hope not!!! (giggle)

You seem to have a huge 'problem' in my opinion mate - why are you so defensive ?

If you read my drivel, I am sure you will come to realize that it's all pretty much tongue-in-cheek and is not INTENDED to be offensive - only a lighthearted look at life from my perspective

Lighten up buddy - there's a REAL world out there !

@ Paul Fox.

Sad bastards interesting way to put it. Its a good blog. My only comment is that there are many individuals on datings sites who seem to think it clever to deceive others. But despite this there are still many real honest gentlemen and ladies online, especially on CLM, who are really looking for that true love relationship. And for some that day will come true. The only sad bastards therefore are those with dishonest intent in their hearts and they know who they are. Good luck to the real guys and girls.

Thanks for your comments and I agree totally with you. Since the inception of the internet there have always been those 'sad bastards' that make it their life's work to try and scam people or rip people off - and not only on dating sites. They are in every industry and in every walk of life and in many cases are getting more clever by the day!
I saw a good film the other night called 'Runner, Runner' which was based on a true story about an on-line gambling site that ripped people off for hundreds of millions of dollars (worth watching if you have not seen it) - but this is only one example of thousands of internet scams - I guess we need to be a little more careful about who we trust these days
However, the forthcoming blogs have nothing to do with internet scams. I will simply be trying my best to open up a discussion on how us guys (as individuals as well as collective members of a dating site(s) see ourselves and see other members too
It should be fun - at least I hope so !
Thanks again

@ paul fox I want to read this one
@ alasdair, I find people who want to play with deception for fun and games are the true losers of the game
