In the world of online Chinese and Asian dating there really is nothing quite like them. That's because the blogs are written by real Chinese or Asian women and real Western men, all members of CLM or ALM. The forum is for members to discuss serious cross- cultural issues, and problems relating to long distance international internet dating. But the blogs and forum are about more than that, much more, because we believe that the members' understanding of each other's diverse history, traditions, food, parenting beliefs, and cultural background are incredibly relevant in developing a strong and lasting mutual love. Likewise the sharing of mutual interests, such as travel, cooking, gardening, humour, modes of entertainment, hobbies, crafts, spiritual beliefs, and many other factors are crucial to maintaining a healthy bond. Unlike other dating sites who publish endless fluff that has no value beyond enticing people to join, at and we understand your desire is not simply to meet someone special today, but to join someone special for life. We keep it real, to ensure your newfound Chinese or Asian love lasts forever.

Lately, as I perused the forum and blogs, I noticed that there are quite a few guys on the website who have some harsh words for the ideal of filial duty. They warn others to be careful of the trap that a Chinese woman’s family entails. Though I think many have forgotten that at one point in our own western history that taking care of and respecting our elders was once a high virtue and not scoffed at the way it is today. The thing I have read the most is how her family will try to control all aspects of your life. There is no consideration that perhaps they do have the best interest of their family in mind, and that includes you if you have married her. We seemed too distracted with our own independence to think of what the true union of a man and a woman really stands for.
Sometimes I wish my whole body were made of airplane tickets. Then, like the Gingerbread Boy, or maybe like those lizards that give up a tail for the greater good, I would go to the airport and break off a pinky and hand it to the ticket counter clerk -she all sweet and pretty cause that’s how they are-and she would look puzzled and say in her Malay or Thai or Chinese scented English-she would say “Sir, I thought you had broken off a finger but look, it’s a ticket to……….”

I am not an anthropologist by any means – but I guess I have a keen interest in the things around me and like to observe and ponder!
“Atishoo, atishoo, atishoo…” Michael couldn’t help sneezing while he was searching the financial journal in the library with Ms. Li.
Hello, my name is Georg Vilefort. Like many here, I am also a client of CLM. I will be blogging on any number of subjects, but I think the one that is most interesting to readers is that of relationships between adults from different cultures. I am fortunate to have been able to travel to many cities, historical and famous scenic areas in China, and I have discovered that the Chinese, for the most part, are not unlike Americans; they are fascinated with all things American.
“福”is just happiness and well-being. It is saying that : “福如东海”, Happiness as boundless as the sea. The four characters idiom describe that happiness is very very big.

I mentioned in my previous post that the last time I was in China I conducted interviews with some twenty-somethings on the site. Z was one of these. She had agreed to meet me in one of the two thousand Starbucks that seem to exist in Chengdu (actually the number is closer to 12). Z arrived on time and, except for the fact that she had cut her hair, she looked exactly like her picture. Although in the profile Z’s age was listed at twenty-seven, like many Chinese women she could have been taken for much younger.
For all of you uninitiated in USA “Suthin` speak” or Southeastern USA dialect, colloquialisms, talk or expressions, “What cranks your tractor?” simply means; What "turns you on"?, What gets your “juices” flowing or gets you excited? So what fuels your specific desires, dreams or is your primary motivation for seeking an international dating and a cross-cultural relationship?
After a year and a half since I’d last been there, I recently flew to Hong Kong for a three- day weekend with several missions in mind.

60 Yr Old Teachers Banned in China
Barry1 has reported, based on reliable sources and backed by a recent Google search, that China is no longer allowing foreign English teachers to teach English in China if they are 60 years or older. This is bad news for many members of CLM who are already teaching English in China now, or are planning to in the near future, but who are 60 years old or nearing that mark.
