In the world of online Chinese and Asian dating there really is nothing quite like them. That's because the blogs are written by real Chinese or Asian women and real Western men, all members of CLM or ALM. The forum is for members to discuss serious cross- cultural issues, and problems relating to long distance international internet dating. But the blogs and forum are about more than that, much more, because we believe that the members' understanding of each other's diverse history, traditions, food, parenting beliefs, and cultural background are incredibly relevant in developing a strong and lasting mutual love. Likewise the sharing of mutual interests, such as travel, cooking, gardening, humour, modes of entertainment, hobbies, crafts, spiritual beliefs, and many other factors are crucial to maintaining a healthy bond. Unlike other dating sites who publish endless fluff that has no value beyond enticing people to join, at and we understand your desire is not simply to meet someone special today, but to join someone special for life. We keep it real, to ensure your newfound Chinese or Asian love lasts forever.

If you’re a Western single male, then “Yes Virginia, there is a Santa Claus”, but he comes on Chinese Valentine’s Day. It falls always on the 7th day of the 7th month of the Chinese Lunar Calendar, and therefore, like Chinese New Year, its date by our rather boring but reliable Gregorian Calendar varies from year to year. This year (2010), it falls on August 16th. According to Wikipedia it has been referred to in a variety of ways for many centuries it has been known by various names (more on that below) but for several decades now in China it has also been known as “Chinese Valentine’s Day”. To me, this represents a great opportunity for Western men to snag that beautiful Chinese woman on CLM that’s been keeping them awake at nights, so enraptured is he with her.
Police and spy thriller movies, TV shows and books are popular throughout the world. In terms of global popularity, I believe most would agree the Americans and British have the edge in all categories. However, as a twenty-five year veteran and retired law enforcement officer, I can promise you the reality of this work is far different than often portrayed.
Do I ever get homesick in South East Asia? After all, I was a Native New Yorker and -excuse me- "Yes a Big Mac with Coke, Super size it!"... Where was I? Oh yeah, the alien ,unfamiliar culture. Does it - excuse me, - "Yes give me the Colonels Extra Crispy please".
The year BT. The year AT. Before Tsunami, After Tsunami. Not every coastal area and island of Thailand was significantly affected by the devastation. And the stunning beauty of the Phi Phis - the thin yet massive shark finned green mountain islands; the soft sandy beaches, the tropical forests, all that is still intact. So is the sense of being in an isolated island wide tropical garden. So is the sense of floating out there on a green shadowed cliff world far from the mainland.
A popular saying in America has it that “the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach.” Some claim that is aiming a little too high. Be that as it may, what about the way to a woman’s heart, in particular, a Chinese woman’s heart? Anyone who has perused the profiles on this internet dating site will know that many women make a point of claiming it is important that their potential partner know and respect Chinese culture. For the truth is that while loving an American woman may not entail being particularly enamored of American culture, there is no doubt that loving a Chinese woman (especailly those who describe themselves as "traditional Chinese women") does indeed mean loving, or at least being very interested in, Chinese culture.
O.K., dear beautiful ladies. Here is my take on what Western men are looking for in a foreign born wife, be it from Southeast Asia or China. But I'm going to present it by talking about America today.
Chinese women do not like Chinese things! Let me clarify...they do not appreciate "my Chinese". By "my Chinese" I mean, my Chinese love. My touch of passion and love for Chinese things. Ok, maybe not all Chinese women dislike my Chinese, but the ones I have met do! This is an old love of my past that in some strange way, later on in my life lead me to this website. But it is a fact, the young Chinese women do not care about my love, because it is old-fashioned! ...Tscheeew!
I've been reading with great interest the blogs and comments about find True Love in China. It certainly sounds like Quality People (TM) (copy write)(all rights reserved) are finding each other through this international internet dating website. I'm quite curious about the income and wealth equalities and inequalities of the folk involved. Not that I need money. Just now I have at least five dollars in my pocket, and since I don't intend to eat for the next sixty years (this is hour two of day one) I should be fine! It just that in South East Asia money can play a very important role in courtship and general approval levels.
I introduce this novel to westerners, because we can find the different between west and orient from this book. Love and marriage are two different things in China. A man and a woman can marry without love in China. But westerners think much of love before marriage. Qian Zhongshu was not interested in pointing out social problems, publicizing -isms, teaching sb. a lesson, but depict a whole human world.
Today I will write about two acquaintances, who share similar stories but each of them ending on two opposite poles. T was a pretty good friend of mine and former co-worker. He was also a major influence in my decision to go to China. R is a co-worker who I have had to piece his story together through chatting on occasion. Here is their story.
