In the world of online Chinese and Asian dating there really is nothing quite like them. That's because the blogs are written by real Chinese or Asian women and real Western men, all members of CLM or ALM. The forum is for members to discuss serious cross- cultural issues, and problems relating to long distance international internet dating. But the blogs and forum are about more than that, much more, because we believe that the members' understanding of each other's diverse history, traditions, food, parenting beliefs, and cultural background are incredibly relevant in developing a strong and lasting mutual love. Likewise the sharing of mutual interests, such as travel, cooking, gardening, humour, modes of entertainment, hobbies, crafts, spiritual beliefs, and many other factors are crucial to maintaining a healthy bond. Unlike other dating sites who publish endless fluff that has no value beyond enticing people to join, at and we understand your desire is not simply to meet someone special today, but to join someone special for life. We keep it real, to ensure your newfound Chinese or Asian love lasts forever.

Listen up! Do you hear me? Are you listening? Do you understand? I hope you do. Often when people communicate, they don't listen attentively or they don't show the speaker they're listening. Too often people are distracted, already thinking about what they want to say or about something else unrelated to the conversation. Such behaviors and attitudes often result in misunderstanding, conflicts, and broken or strained relationships. Active Listening helps you avoid these problems, improve your communication skills and build stronger online dating, as well as real relationships
During this ordeal I have overcome many obstacles. My path has been littered with barriers and barbed wire trying to prevent my dream from occurring. There have been people I have called my friends who have sabotaged my efforts and let me down at my most critical time of need. Co-workers have mocked and trivialized my dream. My family and most of my friends, who have been mostly supportive of my plan, have been the real driving force behind my efforts. I would like to thank them for their help because without their help this idea would still be an idea and not a project that is progressing as I write this. To those who don’t believe in this dream of mine, to those who hope that this will fail so they can sit there and feel comfortable in their own miserable lives, I have a special message for those people.
If you’re not reading the forum you are missing some great discussions and a chance to exchange viewpoints with those pursuing the same path as you. I also happen to think the forum offers an invaluable opportunity to meet potential partners, because people who take the time to post are inevitably serious about this project of internet dating and usually pretty thoughtful as well. The topic that caught my eye most recently in the forum was a posting from one of the female members. As with many profound things, it appeared ridiculously simple. “I want to know,” she asked. Love and sex can be apart?”
Aaah, decisions-decisions. To love, to live, to laugh? The world is full of decisions and we have no shortage of decisions to decide here on (CLM)!
Like everyone in the CLM community, I received the Chinese Valentine’s Day e-mail and video and immediately began to plot out how to put it to good use. My deliberations, however, were interrupted by a news story. A U.S. federal judge had just overturned California’s law outlawing gay marriage. Although this might sound like good news for the gay and lesbian community, if you know anything about U.S. politics, you would know the announcement of this decision would likely result an outbreak of conservative Republicans and religious fundamentalists favorite sport: gay bashing. Indeed, I could already hear the familiar forecasts of the end of civilization and the warnings about the upcoming deluge of marriages with barnyard animals that would result from the judge’s ruling.
Ok, I'm at a very odd time in my life. I felt I should share with everyone my first month and a half with my fiance and what it has been like. It's been happy, lovely and romantic but also crazy, trying and under pressure. As with anyone meeting someone online there are many things to learn about and if you think you know your wife now.. WAIT till you live with her! There so much more to learn and deal with! :)
I’ve been keeping track of the news and I’m a bit disturbed by the activities by my own government. I don’t really know why the U.S. seems intent on provoking just about any kind of negative response around China. First it starts with antagonizing the already strained Korean situation and now the U.S. working deals with Vietnam as a message to China.
Silence is truly golden to be successful in real dating or online dating, as well as business negotiations. The techniques of learning when to be quiet and the art of Active Listening are usually acquired skills that need to be learned and reinforced through practice to be a successful online dating detective. In Chinese Dating Detective- Part 1-3, I discussed question types and how to begin to use these effectively to avoid using a haphazard approach which is a less than effective strategy.
I have recently been to Shenyang looking into a business opportunity so I have been a bit remiss in updating my blog. I have been thinking about a few things though and one of the CLM members suggested I write about some of my experiences with women since I have been living in China. Do not make the assumption that all women are like the ones in my experiences but you will find some just like I found. Maybe what you read here will help you to avoid my errors?
If you’re a Western single male, then “Yes Virginia, there is a Santa Claus”, but he comes on Chinese Valentine’s Day. It falls always on the 7th day of the 7th month of the Chinese Lunar Calendar, and therefore, like Chinese New Year, its date by our rather boring but reliable Gregorian Calendar varies from year to year. This year (2010), it falls on August 16th. According to Wikipedia it has been referred to in a variety of ways for many centuries it has been known by various names (more on that below) but for several decades now in China it has also been known as “Chinese Valentine’s Day”. To me, this represents a great opportunity for Western men to snag that beautiful Chinese woman on CLM that’s been keeping them awake at nights, so enraptured is he with her.
