In the world of online Chinese and Asian dating there really is nothing quite like them. That's because the blogs are written by real Chinese or Asian women and real Western men, all members of CLM or ALM. The forum is for members to discuss serious cross- cultural issues, and problems relating to long distance international internet dating. But the blogs and forum are about more than that, much more, because we believe that the members' understanding of each other's diverse history, traditions, food, parenting beliefs, and cultural background are incredibly relevant in developing a strong and lasting mutual love. Likewise the sharing of mutual interests, such as travel, cooking, gardening, humour, modes of entertainment, hobbies, crafts, spiritual beliefs, and many other factors are crucial to maintaining a healthy bond. Unlike other dating sites who publish endless fluff that has no value beyond enticing people to join, at and we understand your desire is not simply to meet someone special today, but to join someone special for life. We keep it real, to ensure your newfound Chinese or Asian love lasts forever.

I heard somewhere that the change in weather can affect a person’s mood. I never put any stock in that until this week as the weather has been so erratic lately that I can’t ever tell if it’s going to be hot, cold, sunny, or rainy. Maybe it’s global warming rearing its ugly head in my own person life, or maybe it’s just me being spastic because of my trip coming so soon. All I know for sure is that I’m missing out on the Mid-Autumn Festival and that’s a real bummer right now.
When will the moon be clear and bright?

Tomorrow is our Mid-Autunm Festival, which falls on the 15th day of the 8th lunar month, when people observe such customs as enjoying the bright full moon and eating moon cakes. I share the story, so that westerners know the origin of the festival.

First, let me mention that we are going to be spending the upcoming Moon Festival Holiday in Lijiang, Yunnan, of which Jeannet has written so lovingly and extensively on numerous threads in the Forum under Travel in China. We’re looking very forward to visiting Lijiang as Jeannet’s enthusiasm for her home city has caught us in its grasp. We’ll be adding a blog post or two about Lijiang (and Dali) while there. Now on to the topic at hand.
It gets harder and harder to spend quality time with my friends with time getting so short. The prospect of a new life in China is staring me in the eyes now. My friends are standing strong beside me even though I can tell it is very hard for them to let me go, and I know even though life will go on after I am in China. It is still a very hard prospect for me to embark on this journey. My friends are and have been my closest family for a long time and I will always hold them dear to my heart no matter what happens in my new life.
Pasupatinath Temple is Nepal's' most important Hindu temple. Its function is the cremation of "the departed". The, uh, "passed on". You know, the uh, "no longer with us". Ah, heck! Cremation of the dead! A little sidebar information here. Someday, you too will die. Sorry about that!)
I became interested in the government-issued Chinese National ID card (身份证) after the incident I described in my Blog posting Chinese Matchmaking: Back to the Future III- What’s in Your Age? Part 2 . All you foreign men eventually hope to meet that beautiful Chinese woman of your dreams, so here is some “News you can use” to help separate lies from the truth.
I once took a class in short story writing, and the author leading the seminar made an observation which I thought dead on accurate (at least as applied to Americans): everybody’s got a tequila story, that is, a time when an overindulgence in the gold liquid resulted in a near-death/quasi-religious experience that may or may not have involved dancing on a bar top, swimming naked in the ocean, or waking up in a city hundreds of miles from where you were when the evening began. Just so, everyone here has a story about what brought them to CLM. I would like to hear yours. Here’s mine.
